These boots are made for walking.

Today, I brought my second pair of leather boots for a walk!!! Although it can't beat the comfort level of my first pair, it is still comfortable :D

Boots are a big thing for me because first, I don't buy or wear them often, and second, finding a pair of comfy boots is not an easy task for me. Snow boots are not included though.

When it comes to shoe shopping, I go for comfort first, and of course, the price have to be reasonable too. I rarely pay more than $50 for a pair and I got most of my shoes on discount. Designer shoes are mostly a big NO, NO for me because a lot of the times, they are totally uncomfortable (and they cost arm and leg). In the end, pakai dekat kaki juga.

A lot of my footwears come from brands like Privo (by clarks), Clarks, Skechers, Naturalizer, Aerosoles, Keds and American Eagles, amongst others. To date, I only have 1 Burberry flats, 1 Stuart Weitzman and 2 Coach which one of them, I'm thinking of selling.

And ohhh...I've also got myself 3 additional pairs of leggings to be worn with my boots! They're super cozy!

Not forgetting...walaupun takde kena mengena dengan boots, I had my teeth whitened today! It took 20 minutes and yes, they are definitely whiter! It is my first experience, never thought of doing it. I was just too curious and decided to have a go at it :P

Habis.

Took a while for me to finish up this sensational novel. A record! Selalunye kejap je habis kalau Sophie Kinsella. Preoccupied myself with other stuff until recently.

The best part about it is, I didn't have to dig my pocket nor wait in the long library que for this book! Got it free! Alhamdulillah, tak sangka luck was on my side on that particular day. In fact, I also received a free 'SHOE LOVER' shirt from DSW on the same day. Happy! :D

We love mocha frappuccino.

We haven't been buying Starbucks' mocha frappuccino for yonks! :P Instead, we have been loyal to McDonald's mocha frappe since it was first introduced some time last year. This has been a blessing in disguise since we have decided to stop contributing to the growth of the former company. Plus, McDonald's is much nicer, cheaper and easier to come by even at 4 in the morning.

Got time?

I haven't been good at keeping up with my blog have I? Well, lots of things took place while I was gone. Daughter has finally enrolled into a public school, eid-ul-fitr, hubs completed phase 4 of our 'diy' home improvement project, enrolled daughter into a gymnastic class, and these...are just a few to name among others.

Of all things, what has actually triggered my mood to blog tonight is 'watch'. It's just that within the last month itself, I saw several bloggers expressed their interest in this not-so-quite-recent rave on white acrylic watches. Names like Chanel J12, Toy Watch and Fossil made their appearances. Thanks to Sandra Bullock on her performance in 'The blind side' . I watched the movie when it came out in the theater with dd. While a lot of other girls got hooked on her watch (and although the watch was very conspicous to me), I had my eyes fixed on her Gucci medium jockey hobo in sand, which is very sad because Gucci doesn't make that particular colour anymore. Else, it would have been mine, months ago! Hahah!

Back to the watch. What surfaces my interest in this watch? Blake Lively. She modelled a white Chanel watch in 'Vogue' early summer this year. I probably saw her picture somewhere else, but yes, it was from that moment that I started to have my eyes and heart set on white acrylic watch.

And so I did! I purchased a Michael Kors MK5079. I love it and hubs love it too! I first tried it at Neiman Marcus and I love how gorgeous it looks on me. The fact that it is sooo lightweight makes me love it even more! I have been proudly wearing it for nearly 3 months now, and hereby, I declare that this is the most expensive watch that I ever possessed.

And now... I'm thinking of getting another one in black. Maybe a bit smaller and.... cheaper. I don't normally spend much on watches anyway. You know what I have in mind? Fossil ES2436. What do you think?

Ramadhan...

Everything must come to an end and so is Ramadhan. The holy month will be missed. InsyaAllah, we shall meet again next year. So here's to good health and prosperous life ahead.

This month has gotten me into realizing how abundant is our rezeki from Allah. Despite all the challenges that he imposed to us, I am forever grateful. We haven't been doing proper grocery shopping for a while. but, whenever break fast time is approaching, there will always be something on the table. While some people are out of luck with wage and shelters, we are very fortunate that we can still afford our house and cars. While some people found it hard to conceive, we are already granted with a beautiful daughter. Despite battling with a very, very sore back and other circumstantial shortcomings which in turn, lead to many other issues for me, I am happy that I have my family and grateful for all kinds of rezeki that have been bestowed upon us.

Rezeki Allah berbeza-beza. Ada orang Allah kurniakan rezeki kecantikan dan hidup yang agak senang, tapi Allah duga dengan rezeki anak. Walaupun tidak beranak, rumahtangga masih sangat, sangat bahagia. Ada orang Allah kurniakan dengan rezeki anak yang ramai, tapi Allah duga pula dengan rezeki harta benda dan ada pula rumahtangga yang berkecai. Ada orang Allah kurniakan rezeki berkerjaya dan berkemampuan untuk memiliki apa saja, tapi tidak mempunyai cukup masa terluang untuk keluarga. Ada orang Allah duga dengan kesakitan/penyakit, tapi dianugerahkan pula rezeki-rezeki lain. Ada pula yang lain tu, Allah sentiasa duga dengan kehidupan yg sempit, tapi masih mampu menjalani hari-hari dengan baik dan sentiasa bersyukur kepada Allah. Mungkin ada sesuatu yang lebih besar menunggu untuk mereka. The question is, are we thankful enough?

Whatever it is, the only way to live is to look forward and to let go of the past. Something, which I still find difficult to do as I used to envision myself in a different path - to be financially independent and successful with my career as an MD. But with that, comes with the long, gruesome work hours, total mental stress and strictly unbalanced life which I truly, truly loathe.

Enough with the corny entry...hahaha... Hmmm....I don't have pics to put other than some of the malay desserts that I manage to do this fasting month... oklah kan... :D

Prior to being married, i.e during college and working years, I had a series of 2 laptops which I purchased using my own savings. After being married, I had a series of 2 hand-me-downs lappies. But with the kind of work and surfing that I do nowadays, I really need a good portable netbook. All I need is a not-so-big lappy (maybe around 11"), not too heavy, fast, has lots of storage & memory and a dvd drive.

My wish has finally come true, thanks to mr. husband. :D

Well, here I am excited to reveal my humble collection, so far... Each of them has it's own story and I am amazed and thankful that I managed to dig a few when I am practically unemployed and yet, able to buy most of them with my own sweat. :) The first 2 were gifts from my mil and dear hubby. Chanel camelia from my mil and LV from my husband. Well, he covered most of the price tag and I settled the rest. :D

Yippee yay yayyyy!!!

Been coveting for a nice and comfortable pair of boots for years! Finally found it...and loving it... :D

Now, I wish I can find a really pretty ankle boots, maybe something like prada suede studded ankle boots in ash..... (minus the height, thanks to my back!)

Or Brian Atwood's... like these....

But there is no way am I going to splurge anywhere near the price tags of those boots!

Free is fun!

Something got into me last 4 weeks or so and I went crazy, surfing & blog hopping, requesting free samples on anything that I can find. A lot of them are here already!

Sewing spree...

I had bought these fabrics a month ealier and thankfully, managed to sew them up probably like 3 weeks ago. It was just one mad spree...I cut, cut, cut and straight to the sewing machine they go. Done! (Is there such thing as a sewing spree?) =)
